Medical Weight Loss

Helix Advanced Medicine offers a physician-supervised weight loss program combining personalized nutrition with GLP-1 medication when clinically appropriate. Focused on appetite control, metabolic health, and sustainable results—not crash diets.

Private clinical consultation
A structured program that pairs personalized nutrition with GLP-1 medication—when it is the right medical fit.

Lasting weight loss is rarely a willpower problem alone. Appetite signals, insulin resistance, hormones, sleep, and daily eating patterns all influence how the body stores and loses fat. Helix Advanced Medicine treats weight as a medical issue: we evaluate the drivers, then build a plan that combines a practical diet strategy with GLP-1 therapy when a clinician determines it is appropriate.

This is not a one-size diet kit and it is not medication without follow-up. It is a supervised program designed to help you eat with more control, lose weight safely, and keep the habits that make results last.

How the program works

  1. 01Clinical evaluation. Your provider reviews medical history, current medications, weight-related conditions, and goals. When indicated, labs and body-composition or metabolic markers help identify insulin resistance, thyroid issues, nutrient gaps, and other factors that stall progress.
  2. 02Personalized nutrition plan. GLP-1 medications work best with a diet that supports protein, muscle, and consistent energy—not extreme restriction. Nutrition is adjusted as your appetite, energy, and scale respond—not locked in on day one.
  3. 03GLP-1 medication when clinically appropriate. GLP-1 receptor agonists (and related dual-agonist therapies, when indicated) help regulate appetite, slow gastric emptying, and improve blood-sugar handling. Medication is prescribed only after evaluation. Brand-name or other options are discussed based on eligibility, tolerance, access, and clinical judgment—not a fixed menu.
  4. 04Ongoing medical follow-up. Weight, side effects, nutrition adherence, and related health markers are reviewed on a set cadence. The goal is steady, medically supervised progress—not the fastest possible drop on the scale.

Who this program may be for

  • Have overweight or obesity and have not maintained results with diet and activity alone
  • Have weight-related conditions such as prediabetes, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, or sleep apnea
  • Need medical structure around appetite, cravings, and meal timing
  • Want a plan that includes both nutrition coaching and prescription therapy under one clinical team

Eligibility for GLP-1 therapy depends on BMI, medical history, current medications, and a provider’s assessment. Not every patient is a candidate, and not every candidate starts medication immediately.

What results to expect

Clinical trials of approved GLP-1 weight-loss medications, used with reduced-calorie eating and increased activity, have shown meaningful average weight loss over many months. Individual results vary widely. Helix Advanced Medicine does not promise a specific number of pounds. We focus on safer, supervised use of medication; a diet you can actually live with; protection of lean mass as weight comes down; and a path toward maintenance after the active loss phase.

Safety and how we approach GLP-1 therapy

GLP-1 medications can cause gastrointestinal side effects (nausea, fullness, constipation, or reflux), especially during dose increases. Rare but serious risks exist and are reviewed before prescribing. We discuss who should not use these medications, how to titrate dose to improve tolerance, nutrition strategies that reduce side effects, and when to pause, change, or discontinue therapy.
