Board-certified internist
Kevin D. Neese, MD, MBA
Dr. Kevin D. Neese is a board-certified internist and physician executive from Evansville, Indiana. After graduating summa cum laude from Oral Roberts University, he earned his M.D. from Indiana University School of Medicine and later an M.B.A. from Washington University's Olin School of Business. He completed his internal medicine residency at Kettering Medical Center, where he served as president of the residents' association and received the Albert A. Brust Outstanding Resident Award. He has been board certified in internal medicine for 30 years.
His career has always joined bedside care with how care is organized. He helped build one of Indiana's early formal 24/7 hospitalist programs, then served as chief medical officer and chief operating officer at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville (now Ascension St. Vincent Evansville). In Indianapolis he led hospitalist groups, taught Indiana University students and residents, and cared for complex referral patients at IU University Hospital—including transplant, oncology, and advanced gastrointestinal disease. He holds advanced certifications in peptide therapy, botulinum toxin injections, bioidentical hormone pellet therapy, and in the administration and interpretation of dementia screening.
Since 2014 he has been managing partner of Post-Acute Care Specialists, coordinating physician and nurse-practitioner coverage for rehabilitation and long-term care across the south Indianapolis, Bloomington, and Bedford markets. That company is now Novenza Health, a leader in value-based care across Indiana's post-acute market.
That combination—internist, post-acute operator, and former trauma center CMO/COO—is what he brings to Helix Advanced Medicine: prevention and advanced outpatient care practiced with the same seriousness he applied in tertiary care hospitals and nursing facilities.
He lives in central Indiana with his wife, Donna, and their three dogs. He is a husband, father, grandfather, and a master gardener who previously started a large hydroponic farm. He loves jazz music and is in the midst of a five-year project to read or reread 100 classics of world literature.
